#UpYourGaling with MILO Nutri Up

Saturday, July 21, 2018

In yet another super overdue post, I am super thankful once again to MILO for having sent over a year's supply of MILO Nutri-Up!!! I can attest to the one year supply part because we really did take up almost a year, and we still haven't finished up the contents of the box they sent.

MILO is especially relevant to all of us right now, now that it's super rainy! It's important to warm the body up given that it's raining cats and dogs almost all the time recently. What's special with MILO, of course, is that it goes beyond just giving the body warmth and fuzziness, and beyond just being great tasting. MILO has so many vitamins and minerals, and is a good source of Protein and Calcium. And as far as MILO Nutri Up is concerned, it is a great source of nourishment and energy for this generation of zombie workers.  At 50% more protein and 33% more calcium than the usual MILO, this gives more energy for us overworked millennials to keep it together.

My Nescafé Gold Experience

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

During Lazada's Superbrands week this year, I got myself a Nescafé Red Mug machine, as well as Nescafé Gold in Latte Macchiato. Perhaps, to describe how good Nescafé Gold is, it tastes like the output off a Nescafé Red Mug machine.

I recently learned so much about coffee foam. Apparently, foam in coffee is not just some fancy way to charge people more for coffee. In my simple way of understanding it, froth means bubbles, and bubbly liquid means more surface area touching the taste buds. The result is a more flavorful and aromatic experience.

I couldn't understand at first why my Nescafé Red Mug machine could make any cheap coffee taste nice, even if it's basically just making use of creamer and coffee powder. Turns out, the jet that spews out a stream of hot water to froth the creamer on the mug is the key. I have tried using the machine to froth my milk tea, hot chocolate, and basically everything with creamer, and suddenly, the mundane becomes the extraordinary.

That explains why this line is special, and how you can really taste the difference that it really is Nescafé Gold. The powder foams by itself as you add hot water, so it's really frothy and creamy, as if it had been made with the help of a milk frother. Or, as if it had been acquired from a fancy coffee shop.

There are 3 Flavors right now: White Espresso, Latte Macchiato, and Cappuccino.

#MondaysMadeBetter with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Monday, June 5, 2017

Yes, I know, Mondays are horrible. I am so happy that UP doesn't hold classes on Mondays because Mondays are the most abominable thing of all.

CBTL gets that, too, that's why they decided to make Mondays less horrible by having a discounted ice blended beverage every Monday at just Php100! Be sure to always follow their social media accounts because they choose a different flavor to highlight every week. The week I went, their Mango Ice Blended was discounted that day to Php100.

My Cup of Tea

Sunday, August 31, 2014

I think you've already seen in my previous posts as to how addicted I am to tea. I think I can actually liken my tea addiction to my makeup addiction--- I already know that I have too much, but I still can't stop getting new stuff.

Sometimes, I pair my tea with actual teatime items. But meh, most of the time, I just gulp the tea without any thought.

Drip Coffee Mornings

Sunday, August 17, 2014

I don't always drink coffee.

And that's the exact reason why at the times that I do drink coffee, I want the moment to be extra special.

Okay, I can settle for instant 3-in-1 coffee, but I drink coffee from the grounds so rarely that it's so time consuming to set up a coffee maker only to keep it afterwards. This is why I love the concept of drip coffee. All you just need is to have filter paper, some coffee grounds, and you just pour hot water on this thing and wait for it to drip, hence the name drip coffee.

Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Tea

Wednesday, June 25, 2014

I love tea. As in so much that my dentist has already seen tea stains on my teeth during my last dental visit!

Harney and Sons tea is a new brand I've recently encountered. I haven't seen this in stores yet, and it's probably because I live in a rock.

I love this flavor in particular because it's rare to see sencha in teabags this small! I mean I have had sencha, but usually they're in loose leaf, and they're really bulky when steeped in water. I was actually amused that this didn't blow up with expanding pieces of rice, but taste wise, you can taste more of the green tea rather than the roasted rice which is why the teabag can be that small and flat.

My Not So Usual Breakfast (June 19, 2014)

Hooray for a Krispy Kreme-ey breakfast!

This is Krispy Kreme's baked creations.

And their salted caramel doughnut.

My Not so Usual Breakfast (June 9, 2014)

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

My usual breakfast consists of oatmeal and a beverage, either milk or milk tea, so whenever I don't have that combo, I call it an unusual breakfast. This meal is one of those.

It's my second time to try Lucky Me's Lomi. The first time I tried it, I felt that it was okay. I mean it could be a little bit more shrimp tasting, but overall if you're really craving for lomi, this will already be a good substitute.

It's Dalandan Time!

Monday, June 9, 2014

It's that time of year
Having fruits this dear
And you wish you could do more
Than just juices from the store

Give dalandan juiceeeee!!!

Hee hee hee so much for my stupid tune. I'm just happy that now happens to be the time wherein dalandans are in season and I can make juice out of them.

I just love the taste of dalandans <3 How I wish dalandans were available all year round.
